What should you do when you move.　Move-out/in notification

Japanese law requires every people to report their current address. Every foreign resident who has mid to long term VISA also have to do it. So when you move, you must report municipality in your new city within 14days. Then they give you a residence certificate. This is what you need when you change your VISA sometimes. Example

First what you have to do is this procedure.

Where do you go to proceed? : A municipal office that belongs to where you stayed before move.

When do you have to report?

You have to submit it within 14days since you move.

What do you need?

notification form (Available at the Window)

your ID (residence card, passport or driver’s license)

My NUMBER card (if you have)

Stamp(印鑑)

If someone other than you will apply, he/she needs the document below.

A letter of attorney

deputy’s ID

Move-in notification

When you finish the move-out notification, they give you a certificate of move-out.

Then you can do the move-in notification.
