July 21, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the new 17 countries to be upgraded to the Travel Cancellation Recommendation (Level 3).
The 17 countries are as follows.
(Asia) Nepal
(Latin America) Suriname, Paraguay, Venezuela
(Europe/Central Asia) Uzbekistan
(Middle East/Africa) Kenya, Comoros, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Somalia, Namibia, Palestine, Botswana, Madagascar, Libya, Liberia

As a result, from next month, the government will basically refuse foreigners who have stayed in the above 17 countries within 14 days from entering Japan.
