House securing payment (foreign resident also can use it)

When you got fired or company where you work go bankrupt, you could use this system. This system is also available for the people who obliged to suspend business temporarily and can not earn enough money for house rent.

Who is eligible?

(1) People within 2 years after separated from employment or out of business

(2) People who are in the same economical situation as the people (1)

And their reduction of the chance of Earning money must not be their fault.

How long can you keep getting the payment?

Generally 3 months

When they admit that you keep looking for a job honestly, you could extend another 3 months. The longest period for extension is 9 months.

How much can you get?

It’s depend on the cities.

Here is an example in TOKYO

Single household   : up to 53,700 YEN
2 people          : up to 64,000 YEN
more than 3 people : up to 69,800 YEN

The payment would be house rent up to deducting common service fee from these price.

What condition is required?

(1) income requirement

Amount income of the household must be under reference price.

Reference price varies with cities.

Here is an example in TOKYO

Single household   : 138,000 YEN
2 people          : 194,000 YEN
more than 3 people : 241,000 YEN

(2) asset requirement

Amount deposit of the household must be under reference price.

Single household   : 504,000 YEN
2 people          : 780,000 YEN
more than 3 people : 1,000,000 YEN

What do you prepare when you apply?
What document you need to prepare is varies with cities, It’s better for you to ask the city where you live.

Evidence which could prove that you lost employed or reduction of your income.

They would never pay to you. They directly pay owner of the house.
