Announcement from Ministry of Justice
According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, foreign students will be able to find jobs in a wider range of jobs than they currently have after graduating from Japanese universities and graduate schools.
As a result, there are certain conditions such as utilization of specialized knowledge in universities etc., having high Japanese language ability, and getting the same or higher reward as Japanese people.
Many foreign students are likely to be able to work in service and manufacturing operations at restaurants and retail stores.
The kind of VISA is expected to be “specific activities”.
It will be implemented from May 30, 2019.
